BAMF vs. Lions
Preview: This could be a walkover for the team who was kind enough to grace us with their presence last week. Here's to hoping that rust comes back to bite them in the arse. BAMF will have to put up serious amounts of points to keep up with the Lions, who will push the pace all game long and look to score 50 points. If they get up early, this one gets ugly.
PreDirktion: Lions 51, BAMF 25
Scoregazm vs. The 816
Preview: Classic revenge game right here. Last month, Scoregazm upset The 816, who haven't been the same since (The Artist Formerly Known as PG3 hasn't even stepped foot on the field since). With the news that The Logo, Jason McDonald, is out for the playoffs, you have to wonder what state The 816 will be in. Scoregazm heads into their first playoffs with The Center Formerly Known as Nic Reese at QB, but will need to shock the world a second time to advance to the semifinals this season. I don't think it's likely.
PreDirktion: The 816 27, Scoregazm 20
BTPU vs. Ducks
Preview: Really looking forward to this throwback game between two Metro staples. The Ducks will be at a huge disadvantage with QB Keith Osborn missing the playoffs due to a bruised ego (Dirkness). This will be a tough game to win with an inexperienced QB because BTPU is rolling right now (they should've beaten the Jets last week, if not for a missed call from the ref on the final play of the game). The Ducks are always solid on defense, but it'll be interesting to see how they adjust their zone to handle the BTPU running game. Too many signs point to BTPU here.
PreDirktion: BTPU 33, Ducks 19
Semifinal: Jets v. Lions
Preview: Two teams from over the pond who probably play each other roughly 14 times a week. Lets hope they're able to keep their paws to themselves out there. I really don't know who'd win this game, I haven't seen them play each other in ages. But since I can't pick both of them to lose, I guess I'll go with….
PreDirktion: Lions 41, Jets 33
Semifinal: BTPU vs. The 816
Preview: What would a KC Metro playoffs be without a meeting between the biggest rivals in the game (their hatred has grown so strong that they combined forces to play 8 man together). While 816 has had BTPU's number as of late, I predict a reversal of fortunes on Sunday. I just love how BTPU is playing right now. A look of determination in their 913-clad eyes.
PreDirktion: BTPU 40, The 816 39, Overtime
Metro Bowl VII: Lions vs. BTPU
Preview: You have to wonder about the endurance level of these two teams, who usually come to play with four in what would be their third game of the day. This should be a fun game, with both teams playing an up-tempo style of game. And they have yet to meet this season. While BTPU has that team of destiny type of feel to them, those teams seem to fall just short if the history of KC Metro has taught us anything. I'll take the experience of the Lions to bring home the 'ship.
PreDirktion: Lions 32, BTPU 18
Wild West Championship
NWA vs. 4th Down Syndrome
Preview: It's been a rough season for the two teams in the play-in game. All it takes is one victory to make the season for Syndrome though. This one should be a low scoring affair.
PreDirktion: 4th Down Syndrome 13, N.W.A. 12
Football Whales vs. 4th Down Syndrome
Preview: This should serve as a nice warmup for the Wild West favorites. Lets hope QB Zak Zimmerman busts out his limited edition Ryan Tannehill jersey this weekend (since he has such affection for bad QB's).
PreDirktion: Football Whales 34, 4th Down Syndrome 6
Black Sox vs. Practice Squad
Preview: This should be a highly competitive ballgame. The Black Sox got good experience against top competition, but do they remember how to win games? This one should be closer than the experts think.
PreDirktion: Black Sox 22, Practice Squad 18
Pentagon vs. Top Flight
Preview: Two experienced teams battling it out in a rematch of a 19-18 victory for Pentagon last month (I believe that was an overtime game). So what do we think? Potential revenge game, or is there a schematic advantage for Pentagon in the mold of a Konversion King?
PreDirktion: Pentagon 19, Top Flight 18 (3 OT)
Lowered Standards vs. Balls Deep
Preview: Neither of these teams resemble anything I'm used to seeing from their squads of old. I like that new Balls Deep QB though.
PreDirktion: Balls Deep 31, Lowered Standards 20
Semifinal: Football Whales vs. Black Sox
PreDirktion: This might be the real championship game for this division. Both of these teams have their eyes set on that final prize. The Whales have the advantage in athleticism. The Sox have the advantage schematically. Vegas has this game as a push.
PreDirktion: Black Sox 26, Football Whales 25
Semifinal: Pentagon vs. Balls Deep
Preview: The All Blacks vs. The All Whites. And no, that's not a statement on race (thank you, John Howell). While I do like this revamped Balls Deep team, I think Pentagon seizes their moment on conversions.
PreDirktion: Pentagon 20, Balls Deep 18
Wild West Championship: Black Sox vs. The Pentagon
Preview: The biggest question might be which team will be switching to their road alternate jerseys. Hopefully, Pentagon goes skins so we can see what the Blazin' Blasian is all about. Unh. Oh, the game. These teams didn't meet this season. I like the depth of the Black Sox in a one day tournament. This is their day.
PreDirktion: Black Sox 27, The Pentagon 18
